Hand2Mind Fractions and Volume Teaching Set, 9 plastic cups for volume and capacity concepts, 3 years+

The Hand2Mind Fraction and Volume teaching set consists of nine cups that help children understand the concepts of fractions, volume, and capacity. Measurement and fractions are two of the most difficult mathematical concepts to teach, and this set offers a unique 3D representation that helps establish a clear link between fractions and volume. Children can see and touch each fraction, which turns an abstract notion into a concrete experience.

The set includes nine cups: whole, 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/8, 1/10, and 1/12. Each cup has a color-coded base with a handle that is easy for small hands to grip. The transparent walls allow students to see inside when comparing volume and capacity, and the direct comparison between cups makes the relationship between parts of a whole visible.

You can fill the cups with solid foods, such as rice grains, beans, or corn, or with water. Thus, the set allows teachers to present new concepts to students both in the classroom and outdoors. The included plastic stand is for storing the cups when they are not in use, keeping the material organized between activities.

The package includes a guide that you can use to put several fun activities into practice. The recommended age is 3 years and older. Warning! Do not leave packaging within reach of children and remove all packaging before giving the toy to the child.
