Learning Resources Elephant in the Room Spatial Reasoning Activity Set, 4+ years, logic toy

Where did I see the mouse? Was it behind the table or on the sofa? The Learning Resources “Elephant in the Room” activity set brings spatial relationships to the forefront for children through friendly animals and familiar everyday settings. Children recreate scenes, place figures in playrooms, and learn where each object is located in an interactive and fun way.

The set includes 30 double-sided activity cards, a spinner to discover where the elephant ends up, as well as word recognition and spelling games. The activities are designed to develop vocabulary, language comprehension, and logical thinking, providing children with a clear framework to practice spatial positioning and observation.

Children draw a challenge card or spin the wheel and follow the instructions to position the animal figures in one of the four playrooms. The removable 4-room divider allows for play inside or outside the box, so scenes can be built anywhere, and the rug-style card defines the play area. The set offers three different modes of play: I-Find, Simon Says, and Bingo, which keeps children engaged and allows for multiple learning variations.

The fun continues with language development activities, where children improve their early spelling and vocabulary skills using the 10 double-sided consonant-vowel-consonant (CVC) cards. The set comes with 5 figures, 10 double-sided printed CVC cards, 30 double-sided activity cards, 1 spinner, 1 rug-style card, 1 removable 4-room divider, and an activity guide. The packaging measures 7.6 x 25.4 x 30.5 cm, and the recommended age is 4 years and up.
