Educational Insights Fraction Pie foam math game for ages 8-12 for learning fractions

The Fraction Pie game from Educational Insights turns operations with fractions into a concrete and tactile activity. The game is based on kinesthetic learning, allowing teachers to better explain the concepts of whole and part of a whole, common denominators, and multiples. The pre-cut foam circles offer children the opportunity to learn fractions through tactile and visual manipulation of the pieces.

The set is an excellent material for introducing the notions of "half", "whole", "quarter", and "third". Children see how the pieces combine to form a whole and visually understand the ratio between parts, which makes mathematical abstraction much easier to assimilate for little ones at the beginning of their study of fractions.

How do you play? Select a card, place the starting piece, then complete with the other pieces until the circle is full. It is a game designed for 1-2 players, suitable both for individual activity at home and for working in pairs in class, where the teacher can guide the discussion about the fractions obtained.

The recommended age is 8 - 12 years. Warning! Do not leave packaging within the reach of children and remove any packaging before giving the product to the child.
