Thames & Kosmos Architectural Engineering STEM Kit 308 plastic pieces 8-14 years

The Architectural Engineering STEM kit from Thames & Kosmos invites children to discover the engineering principles behind the planning and development of buildings and structures. With soaring spirals, imposing arches, curves, and complex angles, children build their foundations in architectural design through practical and fascinating experiments.

By building models, children play the role of architect and engineer, assembling a series of models ranging from small, basic structural elements like arches and domes to giant, complex models of real-world buildings. With the 20 guided models, they can build stadiums, skyscrapers, a Ferris wheel, and much more, and children can try to recreate some of the world's most interesting buildings.

The 44-page color manual guides the entire journey while encouraging independent exploration. What is the tallest tower, the most voluminous dome, or the longest bridge a child can build using the modular construction pieces? In this way, little ones understand how architectural engineers apply scientific principles to their projects and how 21st-century buildings push materials and engineering to the limit.

The kit contains 308 pieces, 26 experiments, and an instruction manual, and is made of plastic. The product was awarded the 2019 Parents' Choice Gold Award and was a 2019 ASTRA Best Toys for Kids finalist in the Construction category. Produced in Taiwan for Thames & Kosmos, England. WARNING: Not suitable for children under 3 years, contains small parts; adult supervision is recommended during play. Read the instructions before use, follow them, and keep them for reference.
