Thames & Kosmos Green Energy STEM Kit 8 years+ renewable energy solar house construction

The Green Energy STEM kit from Thames & Kosmos is an engaging construction set that allows children to build a house model and experiment with real renewable energy technologies. Children build the structure step-by-step and discover how an energy-efficient home works, using actual functional parts.

Through the experiment manual, users learn concepts such as clean electricity, thermodynamics, energy efficiency, energy storage systems, water pumps, light sensors, and small-scale automation. Each experiment connects a theoretical concept to a concrete assembly that the child sees working with their own parts.

The kit contains functional parts such as a solar panel, a home energy storage battery, a water pump, LEDs, a light sensor, a robotic lawnmower, window filters, and a green roof for plants. These components turn the house model into a living laboratory where solar energy is captured, stored, and used to power the small automations in the home.

The set operates with 3 rechargeable AA batteries, which are not included. It is recommended for ages 8 and up, and falls within the published ranges for the 6-9 and 9-12 age groups. WARNING: not suitable for children under 3 years old. Read the instructions before use, follow them, and keep them for reference. Produced in Germany for Thames & Kosmos, England.
