Educational Insights GeoSafari Fossil Excavation Kit 7+ years with hammer, chisel, brush, and magnifying glass

The GeoSafari Fossil Excavation Kit from Educational Insights is an ideal gift for little paleontology enthusiasts. Young explorers carefully dig through the plaster block to discover 8 hidden fossils, including a Mosasaur tooth, a trilobite, a shark tooth, a shark vertebra, and gastropods. Each piece is brought to light with the help of the included tools, which are suitable for small hands.

The kit is part of the STEM family of sets, built on the STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) school curriculum. This paradigm is based on experiments with everyday items that help little ones easily understand various phenomena and concepts. Through excavation, the child practices patience, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination, while also learning about the prehistoric world.

The set includes a plaster block, a brush, a magnifying glass, a hammer, and a chisel. The hammer and chisel are child-friendly, allowing for easy extraction of the fossils hidden in the plaster block. After excavation, the specimens are cleaned with the included brush, and the magnifying glass allows for close observation of each discovered fossil. The plaster block measures 4 x 15 x 10 cm.
