The breast shield is made of PP (polypropylene) plastic, a material that resists temperatures up to 100°C, which is why it supports standard sterilization methods. Before first use, disassemble and wash all components that come into contact with the breast and breast milk, then sterilize them by choosing your preferred method: boiling water immersion, or a steam or UV sterilizer. After each use, disassemble and wash the parts in warm soapy water; the breast shield is also dishwasher safe.
