Learning Resources STEM Explorers Magnetworks Wonders of Magnetism Set, 5 years+, 14 experiments

The STEM Explorers Magnetworks set from Learning Resources introduces children to the wonders of magnetism and is ideal for learning at home, in the classroom, at STEM clubs, and in other educational settings. The activities in this set guide little scientists through 14 experiments, which can be repeated as often as they like. STEM sets are based on the STEM curriculum, meaning science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

This paradigm is based on experiments using everyday items to help little ones easily understand different phenomena and concepts. Children follow the included experiment guide and use the 6 types of magnets to complete the challenges, then they can create their own experiments. With the help of the pieces in the set, they can build a pendulum, make a small car move, or test a perpetual motion device.

Through play and experimentation, the set contributes to the development of critical thinking, dexterity, and creativity. When the fun is over, all components can be stored in the cardboard box that accompanies the set, so that the pieces stay together and the play area is easy to organize after each learning session.

The set includes colored tokens, a magnetic wand, colored magnets, a pinwheel-type piece, activity cards, a small car, a ball, and an activity guide in English. The packaging dimensions are 22.8 x 16.7 x 6.3 cm, and the recommended age is 5 years and up. Warning! This toy contains magnets or magnetic components; magnets that stick together or attach to a metallic object inside the human body can cause serious or fatal accidents. Seek immediate medical assistance if magnets are swallowed or inhaled. Choking hazard, small parts, contraindicated for children under 3 years.
