Thames & Kosmos STEM Kit Metal Ball Obstacle Course Expansion Snake 8 years+ plastic
The STEM Snake Kit – an extension for the Thames & Kosmos marble run – brings new challenges to the Gecko Run set. With the help of the snake, you can send marbles through a labyrinth of tight turns and then see how it affects their speed. But be careful: only if you place the snake correctly in the run will the marbles make it all the way to the end.
This kit contains over a dozen pieces and supplements the Gecko Run starter set with additional marbles, nano-adhesive pads, 2 extra tracks, and much more. The tracks attach to smooth surfaces using smart nano-adhesive pads that stick to any smooth vertical surface in the house, such as a window, mirror, door, wall, refrigerator, or cabinet.
Mess-free: the pads are not adhesive-based and can be repositioned quickly and easily, without leaving behind any damage or sticky residue. With an open-ended design, they can be positioned in infinite configurations on any smooth surface, so the child builds a new run every time. The tracks are made from renewable raw materials.
Educational by design, the kit develops engineering and problem-solving skills and exemplifies physics in action by showing how tight turns affect the speed of the marbles. The recommended age is 8+ years, and the product is made of plastic. It was produced in Germany for Thames & Kosmos, England.
