The Thames & Kosmos Kids First Early Engineering Tools and Building STEM kit is an introductory construction set that teaches children aged 3 and up how to use tools and build their own workbench. Together with Ty and Karlie, the young engineers featured in the Kids First kits, little ones discover how to use a hammer, a screwdriver, and a wrench, as well as the engineering principles behind how these tools function.

The included tools are large, comfortable for small hands, and are also lightweight and safe. In addition to the workbench, children can build five other models using the modular construction pieces included, such as a race car, an airplane, a house, a pair of scissors, and a toolbox to carry the tools. After completing the models in the manual, little ones can build freely, according to their imagination.
