Joie Fortifi R129 Shale car seat 76-145 cm side impact tested

The Joie Fortifi Shale car seat is designed to accompany your child for a long time, covering the range from 76 cm to 145 cm in height. The soft, padded 5-point harness keeps your child comfortable and secure, protecting the most sensitive areas of their body, while extra side-impact protection for the head, body, and hips provides peace of mind during travels.

Fortifi can be used in two modes. In Forward Facing mode, with the 5-point harness, it is intended for children between 76-105 cm, i.e., from approximately 15 months to about 3.5 years old. In Booster mode, with the car's seat belt facing the direction of travel, it covers the 100-145 cm range, from approximately 3.5 to 12 years old.

Comfort receives as much attention as safety. The seat features four quick-adjust recline positions, luxury padding, and soft, high-quality materials, so your child feels good throughout the trip. The Grow Together™ system offers 9 headrest and harness positions that can be adjusted with one hand, and the 5-point harness can be tightened with a simple pull motion. The AutoAdjust™ side wings expand easily as the child grows and their height and weight change.

For daily use, side mesh pockets provide storage space for essential items during trips. The Guard Surround™ panels engage automatically when the harness is tightened, and the Harness Hideaway™ system stores the 5-point harness when the seat is used in booster mode. The internal structure is made of steel, the car installation is done via a 3-point vehicle seat belt, and the Dual lock-off system ensures maximum stability. The protective cover is easy to wash and clean, and the guide system marks the belt path for extremely easy installation.
