Joie Elevate R129 Thunder Car Seat 76-150 cm ECE R129/03 i-Size testing

The Joie Elevate R129 Thunder car seat is designed for children between 76 and 150 cm in height, thus covering a long period of growth. It can be used forward-facing with the 5-point harness between 76 and 105 cm (from approximately 15 months to 3.5 years old), and then in booster mode with the vehicle's seat belt between 100 and 150 cm (approximately 3.5 to 12 years old). This versatility makes it a suitable travel companion for many stages of childhood.

Comfort was a priority in the design of this seat. The ventilated design helps regulate temperature, allowing the child's skin to breathe even on hot days. The integrated cup holder keeps the child's snacks and refreshments within reach, and the 10-position height-adjustable headrest adjusts with one hand. The Grow Together system allows the headrest and harness to adjust simultaneously and easily as the child grows.

Side impact protection provides additional safety for the head, body, and hips, while the integrated seat belt lock-off clip keeps the belt properly tensioned.

Installation is simple: the seat is installed using the vehicle's 3-point seat belt, and the installation paths are clearly marked in green, which makes setup easy and intuitive. The covers are removable and machine washable, a practical advantage for daily maintenance. With dimensions of 50 cm width, 47.5 cm depth, and 59-80 cm height, and a weight of 5.5 kg, the seat sits stably in the vehicle and can be moved easily when needed.
