Egmont Toys Hammer and Cork Board Skill Game, 25 wooden pieces, 4+ years

The hammer and corkboard skill game from Egmont Toys is a classic must-have in every child's room. The set contains a corkboard along with 25 illustrated wooden pieces, including gear wheels that can be combined and rotated, plus characters from the Magic Forest theme. With the help of a light hammer, the child fixes the pieces with nails and builds their own scenes, placing each element wherever they want.

The gears can be visually engaged next to the fixed characters, giving the sensation of a small functional mechanism, even if it remains decorative. It's not just random hammering: the child chooses where to place each piece and what combination of wheels and characters to form, which turns the repetitive action into a game with its own composition. Each child thus obtains a different arrangement on the corkboard.

Through this game, the child develops eye-hand coordination by aiming the nail with the hammer and learns controlled force: hitting just hard enough to fix the piece, but no more. Spatial thinking and budding logic are stimulated by observing how the gear wheels mesh, as well as concentration and patience by repeating the same motor action on several pieces.

The pieces are made of wood, and the complete set includes 25 illustrated wooden pieces with gears and Magic Forest characters, nails, a corkboard, and a wooden hammer. The game is recommended for children over 4 years old. WARNING: contraindicated for children under 4 years old, contains small parts, choking hazard. To be used under the direct supervision of an adult. The product is manufactured by Egmont Toys in Belgium.
