BIBS Colour Glow Latex Pacifier, round teat, 18 months+, natural latex and PP shield
The BIBS Colour Glow pacifier features a nipple made of natural latex, a material derived from the sap of the rubber tree (Hevea), refined to produce latex, which is a soft and elastic material similar in texture to a mother's breast.
The nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, taking on the natural shape of the oral cavity. The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to reduce contact points with the skin. The shield is made of PP and has multiple holes that allow air circulation.
Good hygiene requires frequent cleaning of the pacifier. Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Because latex can break down at temperatures above 100°C, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in a sterilizing solution.
Sterilization involves 3 steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, press the nipple with the paper towel until the water is expelled.
