The BIBS De Lux Latex pacifier in the shade Vanilla is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The round nipple is made of 100% natural latex and is recommended for babies from 6 months onwards, suitable for the 6-18 month size.

The pacifier nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, so the nipple takes on the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity. This construction helps the pacifier adapt to the way the baby sucks and provides a sensation as close to natural breastfeeding as possible during daily use.

The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of 100% PP and is designed with multiple holes that allow air to circulate around the baby's mouth and cheeks.

For good hygiene, the pacifier must be cleaned frequently: the younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Because latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100°C, latex pacifiers must NOT be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilization solution. Sterilization involves three simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, press the nipple with the paper towel until the water is removed. It is recommended to replace pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
