BIBS De Lux pacifiers are made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, a soft and elastic material with a texture similar to a mother's breast.

The pacifier teat is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, taking on the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity. The teat is made of natural latex. The flexible shield around the teat has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of PP and is designed with multiple holes that allow for air circulation.

Good pacifier hygiene requires frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to maintain good pacifier hygiene. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100°C. Therefore, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution.

Sterilizing the pacifier involves three simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl; pour boiling water over the pacifier and leave it for 5 minutes; remove the pacifier onto a clean cloth/paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the teat through the valve, use the cloth/paper towel to squeeze the teat until the water is removed. Pacifiers should be replaced after 4-6 weeks of use.
