BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier, symmetrical teat, 6 months+, Petrol, 100% natural latex with PP shield
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in the shade Petrol is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to obtain latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The symmetrical nipple takes on the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity and is recommended from 6 months onwards.
The pacifier's nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, and it is made of 100% natural latex. The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin and is made of PP, with multiple holes that allow air circulation.
Pacifier hygiene involves frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria and maintain good hygiene. Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Because latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100 degrees C, latex pacifiers MUST NOT be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilization solution.
Sterilization involves three simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it, and leave it for 5 minutes, then take it out onto a clean napkin and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, use the napkin to press the nipple until the water is expelled. It is recommended to replace the pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
