BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier, round teat, 6 months+, Sand, natural latex with PP shield
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in the shade Sand is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid derived from the rubber tree (hevea). The fluid is refined to obtain latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The round nipple takes on the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity.
The pacifier nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth. It is made of 100% natural latex. The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of PP and is designed with 3 holes that allow air circulation.
Good pacifier hygiene requires frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria. Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100°C; therefore, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution.
Sterilization involves 3 simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, press the nipple with the paper towel until the water is eliminated.
