BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier, round nipple, 6 months+, Petrol, made of 100% natural latex with a PP shield
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in the shade Petrol is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The round teat takes the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity and is recommended for children from 6 months of age.
The pacifier teat is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth. The teat is made of 100% natural latex, and the flexible shield around it has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of 100% PP and is designed with 3 holes that allow air circulation.
Good pacifier hygiene requires frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria and maintain good hygiene. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100°C; therefore, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilization solution.
Sterilizing the pacifier involves three simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove the pacifier onto a clean towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the teat through its valve, use the towel to press the teat until the water is removed. Pacifiers should be replaced after 4-6 weeks of use.
