BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier round teat 6 months + Fossil Grey, 100% natural latex, PP shield
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in Fossil Grey is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to create latex, a soft, elastic material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The pacifier features a round nipple and is recommended for babies from 6 months of age, with the size covering the 6-18 month range.
The pacifier nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, mimicking the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity. The nipple is made of 100% natural latex. The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of 100% PP and is designed with 3 holes to allow for air circulation.
For good hygiene, the pacifier must be cleaned frequently; the younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria. Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100°C; therefore, latex pacifiers MUST NOT be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or using sterilization solutions.
Sterilizing the pacifier involves 3 simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove the pacifier and place it on a clean towel to dry. If water has entered the nipple through the valve, use the towel to press the nipple until the water is expelled. Replace the pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use to maintain safety and hygiene during daily use.
