BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier, round nipple, Forest Lake, 6 months+, made of 100% natural latex
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in the Forest Lake shade is made of latex, a natural material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to obtain latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The teat is made of 100% natural latex and has a round shape that mimics the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity.
The pacifier teat is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth. This construction helps the teat maintain its shape and adapt to the baby's movements. The flexible shield around the teat has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin and allow the skin to breathe.
The shield is made of PP and is designed with 3 holes that allow air circulation. The pacifier is recommended from 6 months, the size being 6-18 months.
For good hygiene, the pacifier must be cleaned frequently; the younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Because latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100°C, latex pacifiers must NOT be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution. Sterilization involves 3 steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over the pacifier and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove the pacifier onto a clean paper towel and let it air dry. If water has entered the teat through the valve, squeeze the teat with the paper towel until the water is removed. Replace pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
