BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier round teat 6 months + Elderberry, 100% natural latex, PP shield
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in the Elderberry shade is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (Hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The pacifier is recommended for ages 6-18 months and features a round nipple that mimics the natural shape of a baby's oral cavity.
The pacifier nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, thus adapting to natural sucking movements. The nipple is made of 100% natural latex, a soft and flexible material. The shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin and is made of 100% PP, designed with 3 holes that allow air circulation.
Good pacifier hygiene requires frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria and maintain good hygiene. Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100°C; therefore, latex pacifiers MUST NOT be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution.
Sterilizing the pacifier involves 3 simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove the pacifier onto a clean paper towel and let it air dry. If water has entered the nipple through the valve, use the paper towel to press the nipple until the water is expelled. The manufacturer recommends replacing pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
