BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier, round nipple, 18 months+, Dark Oak, 100% natural latex
The BIBS Colour Latex pacifier in the shade Dark Oak is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined, resulting in latex: an elastic and soft material, similar in texture to a mother's breast. The round nipple of the pacifier is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth and takes on the natural shape of the oral cavity.
The nipple is made of 100% natural latex, and the flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of PP and is designed with 3 holes that allow air circulation. The model is recommended for babies from 18 months and up, with the size indicated by the manufacturer being 18 months+.
Since latex is a natural material, it can break at temperatures above 100 degrees C; therefore, latex pacifiers MUST NOT be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in a sterilization solution. Correct sterilization protects the pacifier and maintains good hygiene.
Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Sterilization involves 3 simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then take it out onto a clean napkin and let it dry. If water has penetrated the inside of the nipple through the valve, use the napkin to press the nipple until the water is removed. Good hygiene involves frequent cleaning, and pacifiers should be renewed after 4-6 weeks of use.
