BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier, anatomical nipple with valve, 6 months+, Woodchuck, made of 100% natural latex
The BIBS Colour Woodchuck pacifier is made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to result in latex: a soft and elastic material with a texture similar to the mother's breast. The teat is made of 100% natural latex and follows the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity, offering a familiar sensation during sucking.
The pacifier's teat is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth. This feature helps the teat maintain its anatomical shape and adapt to the baby's natural movements. The anatomical shape of the teat supports comfort during use, and the natural material provides flexibility.
The flexible shield around the teat has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of PP, designed with multiple holes that allow air circulation around the mouth. The size covers the 6-18 month age range.
Good pacifier hygiene involves frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria and maintain good hygiene. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Because latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100 degrees Celsius, latex pacifiers MUST NOT be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in a sterilization solution. Sterilization involves three simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it air dry. If water has entered the inside of the teat through the valve, use the paper towel to press the teat until the water is expelled. Replace pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
