BIBS Colour Latex Pacifier with natural latex anatomical teat, 6-18 months, PP shield
BIBS Colour pacifiers are made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). The fluid is refined to create latex - a soft and elastic material with a texture similar to a mother's breast.
The pacifier nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth and takes on the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity. The nipple is made of natural latex. The flexible disc around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The disc is made of PP, with multiple holes that allow for air circulation.
For good hygiene, the pacifier must be cleaned frequently. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100°C; therefore, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or with sterilization solutions.
Sterilization involves 3 steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then take it out onto a clean napkin and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, use the napkin to press the nipple until the water is removed. Pacifiers should be replaced after 4-6 weeks of use.
