The BIBS Couture pacifiers in this 2-piece set are made from latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, an elastic and soft material with a texture similar to a mother's breast. The Glow version is phosphorescent, and the teat is designed from 100% natural latex, adapted for babies aged between 6 and 18 months.

The pacifier teat has a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth and takes on the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity. This anatomical shape supports comfort during use and follows the natural contour of the mouth. The soft material from which the teat is made approaches the sensation offered by a mother's breast, which helps the baby get used to the pacifier more easily.

The flexible shield around the teat has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of PP and is designed with multiple holes that allow for air circulation. These holes support the ventilation of the skin around the mouth, and the concave shape of the shield maintains a reduced distance from the skin while being worn.

Pacifier hygiene involves frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria and maintain good hygiene. Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Because latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100°C, latex pacifiers must NOT be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilization solution. Sterilization involves three simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the teat through the valve, use the paper towel to press the teat until the water is removed. It is recommended to replace the pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
