BIBS Colour pacifiers are made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, a soft and elastic material with a texture similar to a mother's breast.

The nipple of the pacifiers is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, taking on the natural shape of the oral cavity. The nipple is made of natural latex. The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to reduce contact points with the baby's skin; the shield is made of PP and has 3 holes that allow air circulation.

For hygiene, the pacifier must be cleaned frequently. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100°C; therefore, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution.

Sterilization involves 3 steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, press the nipple with the paper towel until the water is removed.
