BIBS Set of 2 Colour Latex pacifiers, round teat, 6 months+, Vanilla/Blush, made of 100% natural latex
BIBS Colour pacifiers are made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). This fluid is refined to produce latex, a soft and elastic material that is similar in texture to a mother's breast. The set contains 2 pacifiers with a round nipple, in the shades Vanilla and Blush, recommended for babies from 6 months.
The pacifier nipple is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth and mimics the natural shape of the baby's oral cavity. The nipple is made of 100% natural latex, a material that adapts comfortably to the baby's sucking movements. The size indicated by the manufacturer is 6-18 months.
The flexible shield around the nipple has a slightly concave shape to minimize contact points with the baby's skin. The shield is made of PP and designed with 3 holes that allow air circulation.
Good pacifier hygiene involves frequent cleaning. The younger the baby, the more important it is to protect the pacifier from bacteria. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100°C. Therefore, latex pacifiers must NOT be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution. Sterilization involves 3 steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove it onto a clean paper towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the nipple through the valve, press the nipple with the towel until the water is expelled. The manufacturer recommends replacing pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
