BIBS Colour pacifiers are made of latex, a material obtained from the fluid of the rubber tree (hevea). The fluid is refined to produce latex, a soft and elastic material that is similar in texture to a mother's breast.

The teat of the pacifier has a round shape and is designed with a valve that allows air to escape when the baby closes their mouth, taking on the natural shape of the oral cavity. The teat is made of natural latex. The flexible disc around the teat has a slightly concave shape to reduce contact points with the baby's skin. The disc is made of PP and has 3 holes that allow air circulation.

Good hygiene requires frequent cleaning of the pacifier. Before first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break at temperatures above 100 degrees C; therefore, latex pacifiers should not be sterilized in the microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilizing solution.

Sterilization involves 3 steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour hot water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then take it out onto a clean napkin and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the teat through the valve, press the teat with the napkin until the water is removed.
