Before the first use, the pacifier must be sterilized. Latex is a natural material that can break down at temperatures above 100°C. Therefore, latex pacifiers MUST NOT be sterilized in a microwave, steam sterilizer, UV sterilizer, or in sterilization solution. Sterilization involves 3 simple steps: place the pacifier in a clean bowl, pour boiling water over it and leave it for 5 minutes, then remove the pacifier onto a clean towel and let it dry. If water has entered the inside of the teat through the valve, press the teat with the towel until the water is expelled. The manufacturer recommends replacing the pacifiers after 4-6 weeks of use.
